In the “standard” years, the grapes for the Jurançon sec-making process, are harvested when full maturity, in about October, the 30th ; but for the sweet Jurançon, the grapes picking begins after November, the 15th, and ends sometimes at Christmas.
In 2013, following a cold and rainy spring, all the grapes were harvested in mid-November. The weak sugar concentration of the grapes resulting from the vintage 2013 did not allow the making of smooth wines of quality. Then, the 2013 harvest was entirely intended for the production of our dry Jurançon.
